Yemen’s Armed Forces have declared and executed a new military operation against the Israeli regime, fulfilling their commitment to retaliate as long as Israel persists in its relentless assault on the Gaza Strip.
The military operation unfolded with the launch of a series of ballistic missiles targeting strategic locations in the southern part of the occupied territories. According to a report from Yemen’s al-Masirah television network, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesman for the Armed Forces, confirmed the successful execution of the operation, emphasizing that it resulted in direct casualties.
The targeted areas included military installations in the Umm al-Rashrash region within the city of Eilat, underscoring the precision and strategic intent of the Yemeni forces.
“Saree reiterated that the Yemeni forces are committed to continuing their military operations until the Israeli aggression against our brothers in Gaza comes to a halt,” the report stated.
This latest development adds to the escalating tension between Yemen and Israel, with the Yemeni forces expressing unwavering determination to respond to Israeli aggression. The conflict stems from Israel’s military actions in response to what it terms as surprise attacks from Gaza’s resistance movements, notably Operation al-Aqsa Storm. The resistance movement’s actions are a response to decades of Israeli campaigns causing immense suffering and devastation to Palestinians.
As the Yemeni Armed Forces press on with their operations, the international community watches closely. Meanwhile, Gaza continues to bear the brunt of the Israeli offensive, with the latest update from Gaza’s health ministry reporting a staggering death toll of 10,812 Palestinians. Among the victims are 4,412 children, 2,918 women, and 676 elders. Additionally, over 26,000 people have been injured, as highlighted by ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra in a recent press conference in Gaza City.
