President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is getting ready to keep his promise of lessening the effects of removing subsidies and supporting sustainable energy solutions by opening the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Conversion, Filling, Reverse Engineering, and Training Centre in Utako, Abuja.
The upcoming event on Friday, May 31, 2024, signifies another significant achievement for NASENI in its dedication to advancing the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, especially regarding sustainable energy options and a cleaner energy environment.
The NASENI-Portland CNG Conversion and Training Centre, established through a collaboration between NASENI and Portland Gas Limited, is an advanced facility designed for converting conventional fossil fuel vehicles to CNG, offering a cleaner and economically efficient alternative.
Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the agency, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, in his address to the press regarding the center, highlighted during pre-launch activities that the establishment of the NASENI-Portland Gas Reverse Engineering Centre signifies a transformative moment for Nigeria’s energy sector.

NASENI’s team of engineers and technicians have expertly put together a complete CNG sequential kit, including key components like a Pressure Regulator, Petrol Solenoid Valve with manual override switch, On-Off valve, and refueling connector.
