Chelsea Football Club seems close to securing Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo, putting them ahead of Newcastle United. Adarabioyo, who will soon be a free agent, is also drawing interest from Manchester United.
Football transfer professional Fabrizio Romano declares through his Twitter X handle that negotiations between Chelsea and Fulham for Tosin Adarabioyo are in the final stages, indicating that the Blues are nearing a deal.
The 26-year-old is expected to be the first player signed under the potential tenure of new manager Enzo Maresca, who is close to securing a long-term deal with Chelsea after Mauricio Pochettino’s recent departure.
Maresca is set to be officially announced as Chelsea’s next head coach soon.
The club’s legal team is in the process of finalizing paperwork for the 44-year-old and his coaching staff, with Chelsea agreeing to pay Leicester City around £10m in compensation for Maresca’s appointment.
