Starting Friday, Sokoto state will begin airlifting 5,304 potential pilgrims. In an interview with journalists yesterday, the permanent secretary of the Sokoto state pilgrims welfare Board, Shehu muhammad dange, revealed this.
According to Dange, the board had already secured befitting accommodations for the pilgrims in Medina and Makkah.
The BTA was reduced to $700 due to the upward revision of airfares by airliners due to the current crisis in Sudan. He encouraged the pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the state and the country as a whole.
