Russian warships will dock in Cuba as both countries continue to foster diplomatic relations between themselves.
The visit of the Russian warships to Cuba will be historic as it serves as a means of escalations between Russia and the Western countries over their support for Ukraine.
According to the Cuban government, four Russian warships, including a nuclear-powered submarine will arrive in Havana between June 12 and June 17.
Cuba’s foreign ministry in a report on Thursday said the presence of the Russian warships is a sign of historically friendly relations, stating that none of the coming warships will carry any nuclear weapons nor pose a threat to the region.
The U.S. officials have also made a statement regarding the presence of the Russian military presence in the region as not concerning despite Russian President Vladimir Putin’s assertion of taking a bold step anywhere in the world in response to the United States’ decision to allow Ukraine to strike targets inside Russia with its weapons.
The U.S. authorities said they’re monitoring the development in the region since the announcement of Russian forces in America.
