A report from the Kremlin has indicated that Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to end the military operation in Ukraine should there be considerable agreement on a ceasefire.
This report was confirmed by the Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov who said President Putin’s decision on ceasefire remained unchanged and the president is ready for any peace deal.
While talking about a considerable agreement to end the war in Ukraine, President Putin also disclosed his readiness to engage in the battle as far as it takes.
According to information from Kremlin officials, “President Putin is ready to halt the war in Ukraine with a negotiated ceasefire that recognizes the current battlefield lines.
“Putin can fight for as long as it takes, but Putin is also ready for a ceasefire – to freeze the war.”
The military operation is in its second year after the invasion of Ukraine in 2022, and both parties have suffered an irreparable loss in terms of human lives with Ukraine being affected the most.
Russia in the past week has intensified its attack on Ukraine seizing village by village at the frontline with the offensive mostly heated in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine.
