Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev in Ankara, Turkey.
Erdogan and Aliyev met at the Presidential Complex in Ankara on Monday as both leaders look forward to expanding diplomatic ties.
Discussion between the two leaders was centered on fostering relationships between them, Israel’s occupation in Gaza including various degrees of interest including regional and global politics.
Erdogan during the meeting was full of praise for Aliyev in his reconstruction and development efforts in areas that were hitherto under Armenia’s control, saying Turkey is also monitoring the development in Karabakh.
Erdogan also expressed Turkey’s stand on the situation in Gaza, saying the establishment of the two-state solution will be the lasting solution to the conflict in Gaza with East Jerusalem returned to the people of Palestine.
Both leaders also discussed the COP29 UN climate summit in Azerbaijan as Erdogan expressed appreciation for Aliyev for inviting Turkey to the summit.
The Turkish President expressed total support for the summit as he expressed satisfaction with the diplomatic ties with Azerbaijan.
Aliyev welcomed the development between both countries as both leaders discussed the Parliamentary Friendship Group between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
