Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is currently hosting the Southwest governors in the state as they meet to deliberate on the NLC demands which are centered on the minimum wage.
The meeting of the leaders will focus majorly on the NLC demands after rejecting both the #62,000 and #57,000 proposed by the Federal and State governments.
Sanwo-Olu received the Southwest leaders at the Lagos House in the company of his Deputy Obafemi Hamzat.
The Labour union insists on the #250,000 demands from the government or else they’ll embark on a second nationwide strike in the country from Tuesday midnight should President Tinubu fail to propose reasonable wages for the union.
The Governors present in the meeting include Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Ademola Adeleke of Osun, Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti, and Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo with Sanwo-Olu of Lagos the Chief host.
