Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit North Korea on Tuesday on his first visit to the Korean peninsula in over 2 decades now.
Putin is expected to meet with North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un as he looks to foster diplomatic relations between both countries.
The visit was pronounced by the two countries, as they announced the 2-days visit of President Putin on the invitation of Kim Jong Un.
“At the invitation of the Chairman of State Affairs of the D.P.R.K., Kim Jong Un, Vladimir Putin will pay a friendly state visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on June 18-19”, the Kremlin reports.
During the visit, President Putin is expected to foster a military alliance with the North Korean leader who has expressed total support for Russia’s military operation in Ukraine.
