Late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his entourage who was a victim of a helicopter crash on Sunday were honored in a grand style at the Iranian Embassy in the Netherlands.
President Raisi and his entourage were honored with flower tributes outside the Iranian Embassy as citizens gathered to pay their respects.
These actions by the citizens came following a controversial post made by the Dutch far-right politician Geert Wilders on his official X account over the death of the Iranian President.
Wilders replying to a post made by the President of the European Council Charles Michael expressing the Council’s condolence to Iran replied with “Not in my Name.”
The reply by the Dutch top politician gathered public outburst, as he faced backlash over his controversial comment on the death of the Iranian leader.
Given that, the Dutch citizens expressed their condolences to the victims of the Sunday helicopter crash with well-designed images and flowers dropped at the front of the Embassy.
