France President Emmanuel Macron will be participating at the Ukraine-organized peace conference in Switzerland as Kyiv looks set for an end to the conflict in Ukraine.
The French President’s office confirmed the statement on Wednesday, adding that Macron would attend the Summit as the U.S. President Joe Biden will be represented by his Vice, Harris Kamala.
Macron has reiterated his support for Ukraine coupled with both political and diplomatic support in ending the conflict in Europe between the Moscow and Kyiv forces.
While the Summit is aimed at achieving peace between Ukraine and Russia, President Zelensky has ruled out participation from Russian delegates.
China has condemned a peace summit without Russia attending, saying peace can’t be achieved if the conflicting parties don’t return to the negotiation table.
U.S. Vice President Harris Kamala will represent President Biden among a host of other world leaders to be present at the summit.
