The All Progressive Congress (APC) Kano State Chapter has demanded the immediate arrest of the leader of the NNPP Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso over security purposes.
This was disclosed in a statement made by the Kano State APC Chairman Abdullahi Abass over the assertion of the former Governor.
Abbas describes Kwankwaso as a security threat to the peace enjoyed in Kano State after the latter accused the immediate government of the state of breeding Boko Haram terrorists and misleading the FG in causing political disruptions in the state.
The APC Chairman while refuting the statement made by Kwankwaso during the 85km road construction flag-off in the Madobi community, also called upon security agencies to arrest him.
He added that Kwankwaso must be arrested so he could provide the names of those working against the state as he accused.
“We want to call on security agents in the strongest terms to arrest this man (Kwankwaso) so that he reveals the identity of those he referred to as enemies of the state working for the federal government to recruit Boko Haram terrorists and insurgents.
Kwankwaso for a long time has been a security threat to Kano and the nation given his antecedents. He runs a movement in which he has been widely accused of recruiting youth, mostly school dropouts to unleash terror on the people in the state”, Abbas alleged.
He accused Kwankwaso of having ulterior motives to create insecurity in the state, saying the state has been witnessing a mass number of thugs recruited since the forceful enthronement of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II as Emir.
