The G7 leaders have reached a political agreement to send an amount of $50 billion of seized Russian assets to Ukraine to help in their conflict against Moscow forces.
The G7 made the announcement in a meeting convened in Italy where discussions over the Ukraine-Russia conflict were emphasized.
“We have a political agreement at the highest levels for this deal.
And it is $50 billion this year that will be committed to Ukraine”, a top official from the United States delegation says.
President Zelensky would also sign a security pact with Japan and the United States as both leaders commit solidarity to the defense of Ukraine against Russian aggression.
