Yesterday, the Osun state government and a coalition of civil society organizations in the state weighed in on the state’s progress of the 332 boreholes drilled.
Although the CSOS urged Governor Ademola Adeleke to investigate the borehole’s operation, the governor’s spokesperson, mallam olawale rasheed, dismissed the allegations that the borehole project is a failure as partisan.
Governor Adeleke had started the construction of boreholes in the 332 wards across the state in honor of his administration’s 100 days in office.
However, the group, which is led by the Osun masterminds, said that the majority of the boreholes haven’t been providing water to the people expected to benefit from the initiative.
