The police department in kisi county arrested a 61-year-old man from Igonga village in Bonchari for allegedly stabbing his son to death.
The police commander said they have started the investigation into the murder.
Gesonso police commander Charles Machinji said the suspect surrendered to the police on Monday, 9th January around 11:00 am. The 61-year-old man tells the police that he disagreed and fought with his 31-year-old son over an unknown issue.
The body of the deceased was taken to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary for preservation awaiting postmortem.
lawyers in the South Nyanza have condemned the increased murder cases in Kisii and Nyamira counties. Lawyers said there are over 92 cases of murder pending before the Kisii higher court.
