Economic Collapse Linked to Military Aggression
Abolfazl Zohrevand, a senior Iranian parliament member, has sounded the alarm, claiming Israel’s economy is on the verge of bankruptcy due to its wars in Gaza and military confrontations in Lebanon. He stressed that rising military expenditures are driving Israel’s financial instability.
Foreign Investors Flee Amid Economic Crisis
Zohrevand noted that foreign companies and investors have fled Israel, causing significant financial losses. He highlighted that Israel’s once-lucrative tourism sector has been decimated, contributing to skyrocketing unemployment, especially in hospitality and related industries.
Rising Costs and Displacement Crisis
The former diplomat pointed out that Israel is now spending enormous sums to support displaced settlers affected by cross-border conflicts with Hezbollah. Further economic disruption has been caused by attacks on supply ships, pushing the cost of living in Israel to unprecedented heights.
