The Hamas militant group has remained reticent over the number of Israeli soldiers its fighters captured during a military confrontation in Jabalia on Saturday.
According to the Hamas spokesperson who disclosed the information, he added that the resistance groups lured the IDF into an ambush inside a tunnel after confirming their successful military operation.
Despite claims of having a successful operation against the IDF, the Hamas group failed to disclose the number of soldiers captured nor support their assertion with any verifiable claims.
Reacting to the statement, the Israeli forces on Sunday denied any operation that led to the capture of their soldiers and said there’s no incident of where any of their soldiers were captured.
Amid the ongoing conflict, the Israeli forces on Saturday during a raid in the occupied West Bank detained 15 people as confirmed by Palestinian officials.
A peace truce has yielded negatively between both parties after Egypt attempted to secure a lasting solution to the crisis. The International Criminal Court has also ordered an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes.
