The footage obtained by CNN depicts the camp in Rafah engulfed in flames, with individuals urgently seeking refuge from the onslaught. The video purportedly reveals rescuers retrieving charred bodies, including those of children, from the debris.
CNN successfully geolocated the videos to a displaced person camp known as Kuwait Peace Camp 1. They accomplished this by identifying details within the video, such as the signage and ground tiles of the camp.
According to Palestinian media reports, 45 individuals lost their lives and 200 sustained injuries as a result of the Israeli strike igniting a fire.
The Gaza Health Ministry and Palestinian medics assert that the majority of the casualties were women and children.
