Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Hassan Shoukry arrived in Tehran on Wednesday to participate in the farewell ceremony for the late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash on Sunday.
This visit marks Shoukry’s first official trip to Iran, highlighting the significance of the occasion. The farewell ceremony, scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, will be held in the presence of Iran’s acting president, Mohammad Mokhber, and the caretaker of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ali Bagheri Kani.
The event has drawn considerable international attention, with over 40 high-ranking foreign delegations expected to attend. Among these are approximately 10 delegations at the level of national leaders, around 20 ministerial delegations, and numerous other representatives, including parliament speakers and special envoys.
