The donation for former President Donald Trump has reached a new height after major donors endorsed the Republican candidate amid his conviction for a hush money trial on Thursday.
Trump’s conviction on Thursday sparked many Republican donors to gather their support for Trump who they believed his indictment was politically motivated.
The massive donation received by Trump on Thursday led to the crash of his donation page with both online and offline supporters making pledges.
At the head of the donation are billionaires Miriam Adelson and Robert Bigelow who disclosed their intentions to boost support for Trump through their mega-donors.
Lee Zeldin secured a total amount of $800,000 donation for Trump’s Joint Fundraising Committee while Shaun Maguire of the Shaun Capital donated $300,000 for the campaign.
Former Trump ambassador to Jamaica Don Tapia said he and a small network of relatives will donate around $250,00p to him as they also aimed to give over $1 million to the pro-Trump spending group MAGA Inc in the coming weeks.
The donors have expressed their optimism for Trump’s in the 2024 election, alluding to the flaws in the justice system and the current administration has shifted their allegiance to the Republican candidate.
