Frederiksen was attacked in Central Copenhagen by the assailant who beat up the Prime Minister, but the extent of hee injury is undisclosed.
The Copenhagen police in their post on X announced the capture of the man, describing the incident as disrespecting and uncalled for.
The police have commenced an investigation into the incident to ascertain the suspect motive for attacking the Prime Minister.
