The Israeli Defense Forces reported that they targeted Hezbollah sites in Lebanon on Saturday afternoon. Lebanese media stated that two individuals were killed.
The military stated that soldiers spotted a Hezbollah operative in the vicinity of Aitaroun in southern Lebanon, and shortly thereafter, an Israeli Air Force aircraft targeted the individual.
Lebanon’s state news agency, NNA, reported that two individuals lost their lives in the assault near Aitaroun. Furthermore, IDF fighter jets attacked terrorist infrastructure in the Khiam region.
The terrorist organization based in Lebanon stated on Saturday that it had fired a salvo of Falaq 2 rockets at a military command center in northern Israel.
According to security sources, the attack marked the first instance of the group deploying this rocket type, following previous use of the Falaq 1 on numerous occasions.
The military further stated that over the past day, IDF artillery and mortars were utilized to neutralize threats in the areas of Kfarchouba, Kfarkela, Houla, and Kfarhamam.
