A member of the war cabinet in Israel Benny Gantz has suspended his anticipated resignation speech following the announcement of the release of four Israeli hostages from the Hamas.
Gantz has earlier informed the media about his willingness to disassociate his National Unity Party from the Netanyahu-led government after the Prime Minister failed to present the Gaza plan by the deadline he set.
Though unsure of what next for Gantz with many suggesting the politician would reschedule the press conference for another day while others differ on it.
Gantz who has issued an ultimatum to Netanyahu over Gaza governance in a post-war situation threatened to withdraw his support if conclusions are not reached between both parties.
Gantz’s party joined the Netanyahu government following the deadly attack of Oct 7 before he was eventually made a member of the war cabinet to oversee the military operation of Israel in Gaza.
Should Gantz withdraw his support for the Netanyahu-led government, it would have toppled the administration who have minimal requirements to form and maintain governance by a majority.
