The Hamas resistance group said nearly 50 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on Nuseirat and other areas in central Gaza following a rescue operation embarked upon by the Israeli forces.
According to the report, four Israeli hostages were released during the operation, leaving innocent civilians injured.
The Gaza health officials described the operation as brutal which is done under intensive fire.
The Al-Aqsa Hospital has been flooded with wounded people, and there has been a report of a shortage of medical equipment as the hospital is operating currently on a single generator.
There is no immediate word on how many of the Palestinians reported killed were terror operatives
