Senators Godswill Akpabio (APC, Akwa Ibom) and Barau Jibrin (APC, Kano), the state governor of Lagos state, has confirmed, that the state will support him as senate president and deputy senate president of the 10th Senate, as recommended by the ruling all progressives congress (APC’s national working committee).
Sanwo-Olu, who said this when Akpabio was with some senators-elect on a courtesy visit to Tom in Lagos, said that the former Akwa Ibom state governor had the qualities to lead the National Assembly.
Sanwo-olu, who praised Akpabio for having representatives from the opposition parties in his squad, encouraged him to continue his talks with other aspirants and stakeholders to accommodate all interests in the national assembly.
Akpabio thanked the governor for his help and said that under his leadership, the 10th National Assembly will work with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, to replicate his achievements in Lagos state.
