It’s easy to be cynical, but the truth is that America deserved every ounce of shame that comes with China’s rise and growing importance in the new world order. This is not because America’s are a cruel people, or because their culture is any worse than other parts of the world.
It’s simply because we’re all human. As humans, as flawed as we are, we struggle to see past what we don’t want to see. We love to believe that everything is okay until the moment that — everything isn’t okay anymore. We judge and victimize others based on our microscopic perspective, which is formed by our realities, imaginations, and thoughts, or, in other words, what we perceive to be true.
And the America we know is not only affluent in this but also goes to great lengths with all the resources it has — to push everyone else to be like it. In the word of Karl Marx, its aims to create a “world after its own image”.
It’s in a battle for self-replication and dominance over others. In this view, the United States of America considered itself to be the world’s only perfect society, created to save others from primal existence and barbarism — through slavery.
The United States of America is a country built on pride. “We are the leaders of our world, we are the strongest and greatest nation that has ever graced this planet.” But with one simple gesture, China’s actions proved that to be wrong. In case you missed it, Chinese officials set up an air defense zone in the East China Sea — a region already claimed by Japan as its own territory — and warned the US to stay out.
China has surpassed the United States as the richest country on the planet. And is following fast behind the United States in the quest for conquest and market expansionism, thanks to its humanitarian aid and Father Christmas loans to help the world’s economically insecure countries.
China is racing to generate more billionaires at a rate never seen before in human history, and it has lifted its poorest population out of poverty to a level that no other country has achieved. What else do you need to believe that America’s Democratic utopianism is to blame for China’s communist success.
The advancement of technology is at an all-time high, with new inventions and innovations appearing every day; yet, industrialization and commercialization are at a post-developmental stage, resulting in the creation of unneeded resources.
Even the sharpest schoolchildren in the United States cannot beat the less clever 10% of China’s underprivileged youngsters, demonstrating how strong — China’s educational system is. This is it; no one could have predicted it, yet—it has happened. Let me explain how it all started!
America Turned a Blind Eye to China’s Rise
The United States is one of the most powerful countries in the world. It is one of the wealthiest, with a GDP per capita of $49,000. It has a large military and an extremely influential economy. It has produced more billionaires than any other nation in the world’s history. And the young people were hailed as the most industrious generation the world ever produced. The phrase “abundance, abundance, abundance” sums up how fortunate America is as a country. But this was not always the case.
In fact, there was a time when the American economy was extremely weak and could easily be manipulated by others. Just over 60 years ago, the United States economy was at its lowest point ever and It had generally—as a nation—been humiliated by countries like Japan and Germany, who had become more economically powerful.
However, it underwent a critical rethink and strengthened its foreign policy aims and diplomatic interactions, resulting in it becoming a powerful nation. But America believes there is a science to its growth, one that is unique to America and that no other country could imitate or recreate.
With phrases like “China cannot succeed.” “Communism is ineffective.” “Authoritarianism is ineffective.” “The Chinese aren’t really creative.” America blinded itself to China’s rise.
American aid to China from the 1950s through the 1970s provided the time and space for the Chinese to rebuild their economy after being defeated by the Japanese in WWII. The reason why China is now a world superpower while America has been in decline is because of the huge sums of money loaned to China by America under Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.
By not making China pay back what they owed, America has effectively given China $500 billion dollars that it did not have to repay. The US, which has long been known as “the world’s banker,” extended this massive helping hand to China with the goal of forging deep ties with the Chinese and building it to dance to its tunes. A strategy that never worked!
America Doesn’t Know How to Handle China
The most difficult thing to identify in the world of intelligence and rapid groundbreaking changes is the time in global events when scarcely noticeable incremental changes accumulate and generate something unexpected. Taking everyone by surprise.
These changes could be anything — say a revolution, a coup, technological advancement, economic rise, and collapse, or even a new alliance could be the catalyst. This change culminates in the United States — China Games Theory Approach to global chase. A game that China seems to have mastered more than the United States.
How China become everything it is now is a fantastic example of this. It didn’t happen overnight, of course. It is the culmination of years of studying, adapting, and replicating concepts from the history books of famous people, great empires, states, and Nation-states. China continues to outwit the US through the same systematic process of learning, changing, and adapting, making it difficult for the latter to grasp and precisely overcome the former as it seeks.
Russia and China are becoming more and more entwined. During the Cold War, they were enemies. Now, given their tense ties, the two are gradually finding common ground. Joint military exercises in sensitive areas such as the Sea of Japan, the South China Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Gulf of Oman are a major result of their current friendliness.
Russia would also assist China in developing a powerful ballistic missile defense system according to Putin, a weapon that is presently only available to Russia and the United States. This is an attempt for China to continue to increase its nuclear arsenal.
The arrest and probable extradition of a Chinese company executive highlighted the United States and China’s growing trade tensions. The Chinese threat to Taiwan, as well as the political clout it has over Hong Kong, which was previously a hotbed of rivalry between the two countries, are all a source of political tensions and power projection. And in all, it is just a show that China is putting on, to tell the world how powerful it has become.
CONCLUSION
China has risen to become the world’s most powerful country in recent decades, while America has sunk into relative decline. However, the majority of Americans are completely unaware of what is going on in China and other countries. The biggest blunder was the United States’ initial attitude toward China.
China’s economic rise will have a significant impact on global economic, political, and social development. “If America was once the world’s number one, a country with a population of 1.3 billion people and an economy second only to America’s has surpassed it.” All thanks to the United States of America.
