COTI, recognized as the fastest and lightest privacy layer in Web3, has announced an ambitious $500,000 grants program in collaboration with Gitcoin. This initiative aims to accelerate the development of privacy solutions that will benefit the broader Web3 ecosystem.
The partnership allows COTI to leverage Gitcoin’s esteemed grants management tools and services, facilitating the onboarding of a new cohort of experienced Web3 developers and privacy-focused projects into COTI’s rapidly expanding privacy ecosystem. Gitcoin has a proven track record, having distributed over $60 million to developers across thousands of projects since its inception in 2017. This grants program is expected to significantly enhance COTI’s visibility within Gitcoin’s vibrant community.
COTI has recently implemented groundbreaking privacy technology based on Garbled Circuits, which has been benchmarked to be over 1,000 times faster than traditional alternatives. This advancement opens the door for developers to deploy fast and affordable privacy features for the first time. The new grants program is designed to foster a new generation of privacy-focused projects and stimulate innovation across various sectors within Web3.
COTI CEO Shahaf Bar-Geffen expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to partner with Gitcoin and to release a further half a million dollars of funding towards the growth of our ecosystem. Gitcoin is best-in-class for Web3 grants management, tools, and services, and we are excited to present COTI to a new audience of talented builders.”
Earlier this year, COTI announced what was touted as the largest grants pool for privacy-focused projects in Web3 history. The $500K Gitcoin grants program will build upon this foundation, providing developers with a direct avenue to explore COTI’s capabilities while supporting further innovation in privacy applications across the entire spectrum of Web3 sectors.
