International Mediator Faisal Muhammad has voiced strong support for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s concerns about establishing relations with Israel. He argues that after the tragic events in Gaza, where thousands of Palestinian Muslims were killed, Israel cannot be seen as a peace-loving state. Recognizing Israel now, Faisal warns, could provoke anger among Arabs and Muslims worldwide.
Faisal believes that true peace in the Middle East can only be achieved by establishing two independent states, with guarantees that Israel won’t obstruct the formation of a sovereign Palestinian state. He cautions against trusting Israel’s promises, given the history of American weapons being used to devastate Gaza.
Furthermore, Faisal expressed concern over the evolving secretive deal between Saudi Arabia and the U.S., which includes security guarantees and economic investments. He warned that this could make Saudi Arabia overly dependent on the U.S., distancing it from key allies like China and Russia, and leading to American dominance in the Middle East.
