Israeli forces continue their brutal attacks on defenseless Palestinians in Gaza. In the past 24 hours, another 64 people have been martyred and 105 have been injured.
According to Palestinian media, Israeli bombardment on the Bureij camp in Gaza resulted in the martyrdom of nine Palestinians. In Khan Younis, six Palestinians were martyred, and many others were injured.
Since October, the number of Palestinians martyred in Israeli attacks on Gaza has reached 38,983, with nearly 90,000 injured.
The overall situation in Gaza is dire. People lack shelter and sufficient food and drink. Access to food and medicine for children is becoming increasingly difficult. Most areas of Gaza have turned into rubble.
Even if the Israeli attacks cease, the hardships of the Palestinians will not end. At least $35 billion will be required for reconstruction. The first challenge is removing the debris.
In the second phase, people will need to rebuild their homes. Economic activities are also a major issue, with millions of Palestinians unemployed. It will take ten years to restore individual and collective economies. Palestinians living abroad are ready to contribute to the reconstruction, but this can only happen once the fighting stops.
