The Defense Ministers of NATO on Thursday convened in Brussels to discuss new military support for Ukraine against Russia.
This was announced by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg who said the bloc needs to urgently meet to announce more supplies, ammunition, and air defense systems for Ukraine.
He added that the NATO defense ministers will agree on the bloc security assistance and training for Ukraine, which will also include long-term financial support for Kyiv.
Jens Stoltenberg said NATO is currently working hard to ensure the availability of the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine, waiting for conclusions weeks from today.
Stoltenberg when asked about Hungary’s stance on not participating in the delivery of weapons to Ukraine said, they agreed on the decision and Hungary won’t also veto NATO’s plans of deploying weapons to Ukraine.
“Hungary will continue meeting all its other NATO obligations”, Stoltenberg disclosed.
