The extradition appeal made by WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been approved for hearing on July 9.
Assange is poised to be extradited to the United States for breaking national security laws but the founder is appealing the extradition case.
Assange is wanted in the United States for publishing thousands of secret US documents during his time as the head of WikiLeaks.
The founder won his ruling last month against being extradited to the United States, but a new hearing is set to take place in the London High Court in July.
The U.S. government representatives have informed the court of Assange’s conduct, saying he’s not protected by the First Amendment, especially about the publication of illegally obtained national defense information.
The United States authorities wanted to put the Australian publisher on trial for revealing over 700,000 confidential documents relating to US military activities in Iraq and Afghanistan.
