Russia and Belarus have begun the second stage of their nuclear drill at an unnamed location.
A report from Russia on Tuesday indicates that its troops had started the second stage of the military drills to practice the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons alongside Belarusian troops.
The military exercise is in retaliation to the Western ally’s threat towards Russia’s action in Ukraine.
Russia accused the United States and its allies of stirring nuclear confrontation on the global stage as they continued arming Ukraine with Western weapons to target locations in Russian territory.
A report from the Kremlin has warned the US-led Western allies against global confrontation by arming Ukraine, adding that Russia would spare no efforts in defending its territorial integrity.
The second stage of the military drill as announced by Moscow will include “working out joint training of Russian and Belarusian units for the combat use of non-strategic nuclear weapons.
“The exercises are aimed at maintaining the readiness of personnel and equipment of units for the combat use of non-strategic nuclear weapons of Russia and Belarus to unconditionally ensure the sovereignty and territorial integrity”, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
President Putin said, Russia is not ruling out changes to its nuclear stance and, it could conduct nuclear tests at their own will without seeking recommendations from any countries.
