France President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday ordered the immediate snap legislative election as the French leader dissolved the Parliament.
This action was taken electoral loss for the ruling party where the far-right party had an upper advantage during the European Parliament election.
Macron in an address to the country said he’s dissolving the National Assembly for the electorate to decide who will be their representatives in years to come.
“I have decided to give you back the choice of our parliamentary future the vote. I am therefore dissolving the National Assembly”, President Macron said in his address.
The election is stipulated to take on June 30 and July 7 in a two-round vote.
The President’s move is in retaliation to the electoral loss his party suffered during the European Union election to Le Pen’s National Party.
