PalmPay, a fintech platform, has resumed customer onboarding after the Central Bank of Nigeria lifted its ban.
The information was confirmed by Chika Nwosu, the Managing Director of PalmPay, yesterday in Lagos. He stated, “We are pleased to announce that the onboarding of new customers has resumed on our platform for individual and business users following the review by the CBN.”
Previously, the Central Bank of Nigeria had halted new account openings for four fintech companies, namely OPay, PalmPay, Kuda Bank, and Moniepoint, until further notice.
The directive caused concern among some customers of these fintech firms, prompting a few to consider withdrawing their patronage from the affected banks.
