France President Emmanuel Macron has charged the EU leaders to be resolute in their decision over the conflict in Ukraine with Russia.
Macron described the war in Ukraine as “Our War” urging them not to fret as he called for international support in quelling the Russian aggression in Ukraine.
“Europe is at a pivotal moment in their history,” Macron said, saying the war in Europe must be brought to an end without leaders of the EU being cowards against the Moscow forces.
Amid the threat of nuclear war, Macron has permitted Ukraine to strike targets in Russia where missiles are being launched at Ukraine, warning against civilian or other military infrastructure.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz also supported Macron’s decision to give a clear way to Ukraine to target Russia, saying restraining the power of Ukraine to target Russia will only lead to catastrophe in Europe.
While the EU leaders have begun to make changes in their military decisions regarding Ukraine, the Russian Deputy Head of Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has cautioned the West against escalation.
He responded to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg’s assertion, declaring the conflict in Ukraine as a must to participate in despite much warning for member-states against confrontation with Russia in Ukraine.
Medvedev in retaliation said, the West is leading the world into WWIII and Russia won’t hesitate to use nuclear weapons to defend its territorial integrity.
