The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on Saturday that they had effectively neutralized Hamas terrorist Mansur Aadel Mansur Kashalan on Thursday. Kashalan was believed to be behind several terrorist attacks on Israeli territory.
The Hamas operative was eliminated in a collaborative effort by the IDF and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency).
Intelligence gathered pinpointed Kashalan’s location, which was then targeted by IAF fighter jets.
The military stated that Kashalan orchestrated numerous attacks, with a significant portion occurring in the West Bank, and coordinated them with other terrorist groups in Gaza and beyond.
The conflict between Hamas and Israel has deep historical roots, primarily revolving around the territory, political control, and differing ideological perspectives.
Hamas, a Palestinian militant group, has been engaged in armed resistance against Israel, including launching rockets and carrying out attacks.
Israel, in response, has implemented military operations and blockades in Gaza, where Hamas holds power, aiming to protect its citizens and deter further attacks.
