Suspended France lawmaker Sébastien Delogu has appealed to the European Court of Human Rights (EHCR) seeking redress over his 15 days suspension from the parliament.
The opposition lawmaker was suspended for raising the Palestinian flag in the parliament during their session.
Delogu on his official X account condemned his suspension from the parliament, saying getting sanctioned for raising a Palestinian flag can only be done by an authoritarian regime.
He attacked President Macron’s government for banning Palestinian protests thereby violating the fundamental rights of freedom of expression.
Delogu said that France supporting Israel’s genocide in Palestine is not a France of the people and not the one they dreamt about.
He said his suspension will be appealed at the European Court.
