The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has confirmed the successful interception of a cruise missile launched over the Golan on Thursday.
According to the IDF, the attack was directed to its territory from the east signaling escalation of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
High alerts have been announced in Golan due to the attack but the IDF is still unsure about the actual direction of where the missile came from.
The IDF also raised concern about the suspicious attack from Lebanon on its border which was intercepted by the Iron Dome.
Media reports in Israel attached the missile attack to the Iran-backed militants in Iraq.
