In Mexico City, angry protesters set fire to the Israeli embassy by throwing homemade fire bombs.
The protesters also threw rocks at the police who were guarding the building. The violence left six people with burns and several journalists injured.
According to report police deployed tear gas and retaliated against protesters by throwing stones to scatter the crowds.
Approximately 200 individuals participated in the protest in Mexico City’s Lomas de Chapultepec neighborhood, denouncing the Israeli assault that resulted in the deaths of 45 displaced Palestinians in Rafah.
In a recent development, Pro-Palestinian student teachers, researchers, and lab assistants at several universities in California have initiated a strike today.
They alleged that administrators violated their union contracts by involving the police to suppress Gaza solidarity protests that occurred on campuses earlier this month.
