The Hamas political wing has condemned Israel over its recent strike on displaced civilian camp near the UNRWA logistics base in Tal al-Sultan.
The attack has led to the death of over 30 people with dozens reported injured in the deadly attack on the civilian population of over 100,000.
In a press statement released by the Hamas political wing, the group condemned the latest attack in its entirety describing it as a genocidal act against innocent civilians.
The resistance group’s statement read thus “The horrific massacre committed by Israel in Rafah a short while ago is a blatant challenge, complete disregard, and defiance of the ICJ’s decision, which demanded it to stop its aggression on Rafah.
We hold the US administration and President Biden, in particular, fully responsible for this massacre, which the Zionist entity would not have committed without American support and the green light for it to invade Rafah, despite it being overcrowded with displaced citizens.
We demand the immediate and urgent implementation of the ICJ’s decisions and pressure to stop this massacre and the shedding of innocent civilians’ blood, including children, women, and the elderly.
The international community, the UN, and all relevant bodies are urgently required to act to stop the ongoing genocide against our people for more than seven months and to provide protection for our people from the Israeli killing and terror machine that seeks to displace our people and erase their national cause.”
Despite the call for the withdrawal of Israel from Rafah by the ICJ, the Israeli forces have further heightened their operation in the city causing more suffering to the civilians seeking shelter.
