The government of Norway has put an exception to its recently made law banning Russian tourists from entering the country as Russian forces intensify operations in Ukraine.
The government decision was made in response to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine where Russia has continuously shelled civilian infrastructure as they expand their operations.
Speaking on the government decision, Norway’s Minister of Justice and Public Security stressed that “The decision to tighten the entry rules is in line with the Norwegian approach of standing by allies and partners in the reactions against Russia’s illegal war of aggression against Ukraine.
”Exceptions will only be granted in some cases, such as visits to close family members who live in Norway or for Russian citizens who work or study in Norway.”
The Norwegian government has put exceptions into the visa entry for Russian tourists saying they’re committed to maintaining balance as they stand with their allies to ensure a free world free from despotic leaders.
