Former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych arrived in Belarus on Friday amid President Putin’s visit to the country’s capital for a meeting with President Alexandar Lukashenko.
Viktor Yanukovych who served as Ukraine’s President between 2010-2014 raised suspicions with his visit to Belarus at a period when the country’s harshest enemy Vladimir Putin was also visiting.
The former president’s last visit to Belarus was in March 2022 during a peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia is taking place.
The visit has sparked a global reaction as no official meeting between Ukraine and Russia is underway for the top Ukrainian official to visit Minsk.
Speculations going rife have it that, there’s a tendency to reinstate Yanukovych as another president with Zelensky being declared illegitimate by Russia after he announced the cancelation of the election in May.
No further veracity to the acclaimed information but many await more information on his unannounced visit to Belarus.
