Spain’s far-left Vice President and Minister of Labour and Social Economy Yolanda Diaz has released a controversial video that stated that “Palestine will be free, from the river to the sea.”
The video has gathered a wide range of attention publicly following the ongoing political upheaval between the country and Israel.
Spain in connection with Norway and Ireland has officially recognized the State of Palestine, making plans for an official declaration to formally recognize the State as a self-independent entity on its own.
The declaration from the three countries has gathered negative reactions from Israel who immediately called for the return of their ambassadors from the countries citing anti-Israel stance in the country.
Yolanda Diaz in the video called for the evacuation of the Israeli forces from Gaza, saying a two-state solution is achievable for peace to be maintained in the Middle East.
The Spanish vice-president accused Israel of genocide in Gaza and total cleansing of the people of Palestine from their land.
In line with Diaz’s announcements, Spain last week banned any cargo transporting weapons to Israel to dock at their sea expressing total solidarity for the freedom of the people of Palestine in their conflict against Israel.
