Haiti’s most terrifying rebel group “5 Segonn” has transformed dimensionally as the rebel group known for orchestrating violence in the country has taken up the role of National Security.
The new induction of the rebel group metamorphosing itself as a National Security was visible as the gang began operating like a coordinated security force with sophisticated weapons known for the country forces.
Spearheaded by Johnson André, aka Izo, the gang declared themselves a cartel in March, forming the Unité Village de Dieu. Dressed in uniforms, they wield potent weapons, including the FN FAL rifle.
The revamp undergone by the Haiti gang comes following a pact between different rebelling gangs in February, a new dimension which had led to the disruptions of the government with many top political officeholders forced to resign as a result of recurring pressure from the gang.
While orchestrating a government overthrow, the 5 Segonn gang was also linked with the massive prison break, which further plunged the country into a state of anarchy.
The gangs have since their unification stationed their forces along key roads in the country leading to another country, and forcefully replaced the police as the new security in charge of people’s protection and lives.
The gang has also further laid an imprint in the country, as they drive on specialized vehicles inspired by international terrorists, while their license plate was unique carrying the representation of the 5 Segonn.
