In a decisive move, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a ban on party organs at all levels from initiating disciplinary actions against party members without adhering to the provisions outlined in the PDP Constitution of 2017 (as amended).
NWC reached this resolution during their recent meeting held in Abuja, as disclosed in an official statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, on Wednesday.
Hon. Ologunagba stated, “At its 571st meeting on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) resolved to establish a Committee tasked with reviewing all reported cases of indiscipline and anti-party activities by certain Party members during the 2023 general elections.”
Recall that the NWC recently nullified the suspension of Ahmed Makarfi, the former Acting National Chairman of the party.
Makarfi had been suspended by the ward executives of his Tudun Wada Ward on allegations of engaging in anti-party activities.
