Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has urged governors-elect to invest in youth development in the hopes of establishing a digital economy soon.
At the induction of governors-elect by the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (ngf) in Abuja on Tuesday, osinbajo said this. Boss Mustapha, the federation’s secretary of government, represented him.
Osibanjo said it was vital to unlock the potential of the youth, who account for about 75% of Nigeria’s population, by using technology.
“Global companies such as Google understand the demographic and mobile technology development and how it will quickly change the future of e-commerce, trade, health, and finance, and are willing to contribute given the potential benefits.”
