Bola Tinubu, the head of the office, was reported to have left the country for a holiday in Paris by the Office of the President-elect on Wednesday.
The President-elect would also travel to London and then Saudi Arabia to perform the smaller Hajj, according to a statement from Tinubu’s media adviser, Tunde Rahman.
Tinubu left to relax “after a very exhausting campaign and election season,” the media office reported.
Prior to his inauguration on May 29, the President-elect will outline his transition strategy, according to Rahman.
He said, “The President-elect left the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja for Europe on Tuesday night.
“The President-elect decided to take a break after the hectic campaign and election season to rest in Paris and London, preparatory to going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (Lesser Hajj) and the Ramadan Fast that begins Thursday.
“While away, the President-elect will also use the opportunity to plan his transition programme. He has directed all the senior aides and campaign staff to also go and observe a short rest. He is expected back in the country soon.”
